I’ve just heard from Rachel, my lovely publisher, that The Look is scheduled to come out in the UK in February 2012. I can’t wait.
It’s about a girl called Ted who’s 15, freaky and tall. She gets a shock when she, and not her gorgeous older sister Ava, is scouted to be a model. Then Ava is diagnosed with a serious disease and Ted’s world is turned upside down. Can modelling turn Ted into the cool, sophisticated girl she longs to be? Ava seems to think so, and Ava needs something fun to happen in their lives, but then, Ava’s been wrong about a lot of things before …
