I’m thrilled to announce that I’m the new Patron of Reading at Weald of Kent Grammar School. I’ll be working with the students over the next few terms to encourage their writing (they already have so many ideas for what they want to do) and celebrate the love of reading – with everyone from Year 7s to the Head!
I visited the school last week and I’ll be back in World Book Week for some more talks, ‘zine’ sessions and chats about reading. In the summer there will be a competition for the best response to a book. I can’t wait!
