Thanks so much to everyone who entered my ‘The Girl in the Picture’ competition. It was incredibly hard to judge because I loved so many entries. There were thrillers, ghost stories, news stories, some great pictures, poems, a haiku and even a trailer on YouTube. You’re a very creative bunch, readers! If you want to find out who won, click here.
I’ve just launched a new competition, via Nonie’s blog. (Yes, she has her own blog.) You have to design a bride’s or bridesmaid’s outfit fit for a princess. The prize includes a signed hardback copy of Threads with the cover illustration by Giles Deacon, and I will do an illustration of my own inside. It runs until the end of April and you can read about it here.
Thank you so much to all of you who entered the ‘Welcome competition’. It was lovely to hear from you and I really enjoyed your comments. I wish you could all have won, because it’s your support that makes the writing fun. However, there can only be one winner and (after some very complicated high-tech randomisation involving my husband and calling out numbers), that winner is ……… Nicole. Congratulations, Nicole. Thanks very much for the limerick – a nice touch.
