Writers love it when the postman arrives with a box from their publishers. Because in that box will be books. The first in-the-flesh example of what their latest manuscript looks like now that it has proper, formal pages, a jacket and (wait for it … my favourite word ..). wibbling.
The first copies of Sequins, Secrets and Silver Linings arrived this week. They are gorgeous. There are always surprises. This time, it’s the beauty of the hardback cover under the jacket. It’s simple Schiapparelli pink and black, and it’s stunning. Even the fonts are beautifully designed. Each book is a mini work of art. (And the wibbling is wonderful.)
Now all I have to do is wait for the book to come out in the US and see if people like it. I wish I could be there. New York at Christmas must be magical. Or Chicago, or New Orleans, or Paris, Texas, or Seattle.
But wherever you are – Happy Christmas! I’ll be finishing off the first draft of my new book and desperately making enough mince pies and wrapping enough presents for four children (and a husband who adores presents). I hope you’ll be having fun too.
I agree with Vicky
Your covers are always so beautiful!
Congratulations for your new book, Sophia
I know it will be a big success in England, USA, Brazil and other places!
Kisses,
Bella ♥
Hi Vicky and Bella. Thank you both so much for your good wishes – and I’m so glad you liked the cover of Linhas. I’ve had some wonderful responses from Brazil, so I hope everyone is enjoying it, and that one day I can come and see for myself! sophia xxx
The cover is very nice!
But it’s no surprise.
All the covers of your books are beatiful
