Bitte schreiben Sie weiter so bildende Bücher

Your books are amazing! I love reading them, because they’re mostly about fashion. I really like the front cover of ‘The Look’. I hope you’ll continue to write more fantastic books!
Thank you!
P.S threads just gave me an idea for a great design and mood board.
Hi Sophia I am a big, big fan of the threads series and Ive also read the look and you writing style is divine. So when we got to chose an author to do a project on in school I knew I just had to chose you! And I want to know if I can maybe get in contact with you some how?
Thanks a lot Gabi oxoxoxoxo
Hi Gabi. Good luck with your project. I’m very honoured that you’ve chosen me. If you’d like to get in touch, you can contact me via the Contact page on this site, which sends an email straight to me. And don’t forget to look at the interviews I’ve done, some of which are listed at the bottom of the About Me page. They should help too. xxx
The Look was an excellent read, I really thought that it would be one of those typical girly books!
But once I started reading I was fixated and couldn’t stop! One of the best books I’ve ever read!
Thank you, Shakira. That’s the effect I was going for! xxx
Hi, I come from Norway, and I have read Threads. I just want to say that it is an amazing book, and I cant not waint to read the next once. It was a beautiful written book, and I hope you can come with more stories in the future. I am looking for when the Look comes to Norway. 🙂

Hi Marie. Congratulations on your English! And I’m glad you loved Threads. I hope The Look comes to Norway soon, too! xxx
Hi Sophia,
I just finished The Look and FELL HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE! I can honestly say it is one of the best books I have ever read, and being a total bookworm, I’ve read millions! 🙂
I could relate to Ted in being tall and lanky, and The Look made me feel better about myself!
THANKS SO MUCH for writing such an inspirational and incredible book

Hi Ella. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. It’s readers like you who make writing YA totally worthwhile and I was thrilled and touched to hear from you. Keep reading! sophia xxx

Hi Sophia,
Wow I loove Threads! im half way through reading the whole series for the second time :L. I was accually hinking the other day ,wouldnt threads be AMAZING as a tv show? And then i come and read the blog comments and find out its trying to happen, wow. Threads has also inspired me to take up a career in fashion, its like my dream:’) Thanks for writing some amazing books.Oh and by the way have you heard about the Invisible Children campaign going worldwide?
Love,Zoe xx
Hi Zoe. I’m so glad to hear you love the series so much – and even more so that it’s inspired you with career ideas. I’m still crossing my fingers about the TV series. And yes, I’ve been following the Invisible Children campaign. Joseph Kony has done many evil things in the last couple of decades. He deserves to come to justice. xxx
Hi Sophia! I absolutely loveeeee the Threads books and cant wait to read more! Do you know when the TV series will come out?? I would love to watch it!! Selena xoxoxoxox
Hi Selena
I’m so glad! The Look has just come out, so you can read that one too if you want to. As for the Threads series, I don’t think it will be ready until next year. I’ll let you know more details as soon as I do. xxx
Thanks for the response 🙂 E x
Hey,
I was wondering how far you’ve gotten in regards to filming Threads? You know, written the script, held auditions, have cast members, etc.
It’s just that I’m really interested in Threads and think it’d be a good TV show! Just cause I know someone who could play Jenny 😉
E x
Hi Emma
Not far, is the answer. As in … still finding the right person to write the script. So no auditions etc. yet. When I find out more, I’ll let you know here. xxx

Hi Issie
Thank you so much! I hope you like The Look when you get it. I’m afraid I don’t know when Threads is due to come out on TV, but it’s still at the very early stages and it will be on in the US before it comes to the UK – so it will be a while to wait. xxx
Hey Sophia,
Your book Sequins, Secrets, and Silver Linings was such a great book! i was so happy for crow when her brother and family came to the show i almost cried. 🙂 😀 your books are amazing! ☻☺
♥ love ♥,
Dairell ♥
Thanks so much, Dairell. It’s great to know my books are being appreciated in the US. My new book, The Look, is planned to come out in spring next year. Yay!
Hi Sophia! It’s Cliona here from Bookster Reviews! Just saying hi! I CANNOT wait for The Look to come out! I will buy it the first day it is published! Congratulations on Threads being made into a TV programme, it’s so exciting. I’m really happy for you! Anyway, talk to you again. Cliona xxx
Hallo Sophia, sorry my english is not so good.
My Daughter has get your Book “Threads” in the german version “Wie Zuckerwatte mit Silberfäden”. I read to her this story in bedtime, till she asleeps. And than I read your book from start to finish. I can’t stop! It’s greatfull and I hope, you can make a feature film about it. Very good is the story about the forgotton childs interwoven between the general typical dreams of all teenies. Now I read your book every day again till my girl is asleep and than till the story is finished.
With best wishes from Germany
Elke Fels
Hello Elke
Thank you so much for writing to me. I’m thrilled to hear how much you and your daughter have been enjoying Wie Zuckerwatte mit Silberfaden. I picture her falling asleep while you read, just as I used to do when my mother read to me. Funnily enough, my aunt from Germany used to send us special candles which we would light while we read and I would watch their flickering candlelight while I listened to the stories. So I always associate bedtime reading with presents from Germany! I hope you enjoy the rest of the book. sophia xxx
Hi Sophia, I love your books! Where do you get all your inspiration from? xx
Hi Beverley. Loving the blog, by the way! I get my inspiration mainly from things I was really interested in when I was growing up, but also by the little things that go on around me all the time. If you look at the interviews I’ve done (via this page on my site: http://sophiabennett.com/about-me/), you’ll find out lots more. At the moment, I’m inspired by a coat I saw in a shop called Fenwick before Christmas, the coastline of the South of France, the women who worked at Bletchley Park during the war, my great aunt and the idea of code-breaking. Enough to keep me going for the new book, I hope! xxx
I wanted to say that I love your books and that I had to borrow the name of Edie’s campaign (from Threads)
for my website and do you mind? ican change it if you want
do u no when Threads is on air?
Hi Grace. Feel free to use Edie’s slogan for your website – I’m sure she’d be very flattered. And no, sadly, I don’t know much more about the TV series of Threads. I’m still at the crossing fingers stage. sophia xxx
Hi!
I love Your books,they’re great!
I make a prasentation about “Wie Marshmallows mit Seidenglitzer”,that means your book in german!
Love Tabea
Thank you, Tabea. Good luck with your presentation! sophia xxx
Hi Sophia
I love your name! I happen to know that the third Threads book is being translated into German right now, by my lovely translator, Sophie Zeitz (also a great name). So I imagine it will be out next year, but I’m afraid I don’t know when. If you want to find out more, you can ask the fab people at The Chicken House in Germany. Their Facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/chickenhouse.de. xxx
Hi Sophia!
Your Books are wonderful!
When can I buy the third book (threads) in Germany??? I can`t wait!! 😉
Love,
Sophia
I really hope you reply to my email! Be sure to visit Douay again!
It was lovely to be there, Abigail. I certainly hope I get the chance to come back one day. Thanks for giving me such a good reception. xxx
Hi Sophia! hows the weather over there? here in November its getting cold* and my birthday’s coming up on december 14th! So, I hope you are liking your weather over there!
Hi! I loved Sequins, Secrets and Silver Linings, but I cannot find any of the sequels in the US. Will Threads be on TV in the US too? Merci beaucoup! Au revoir!
Hi Alexandra. I’m afraid none of the sequels are available in the US yet, but you can get them via The Book Depository, if you want them, which offers free shipping worldwide. Just look me up on their website! As for the TV series, if it goes ahead (it’s still in the early planning stages) it will appear in the US before it comes to the UK, so you’re lucky there. Thanks for asking. sophia xxx

Hi! It’s great to hear from such good fans. I don’t know when the TV series will be ready, I’m afraid, but it won’t be for at least a year. xxx
Hello Sophia!
I was just wondering how many books you have written about Crow and Nonnie?
Love Hedda<3
Hi Hedda. There are three books about Crow and Nonie: Threads, Beads Boys & Bangles, and Sequins Stars & Spotlights. My new book, The Look, which comes out next year, is about a new set of characters. sophia xxx
Dear Ms Bennett,
I just wanted to say thank you for the visit to our school yesterday. My name is Callie, and you were kind enough to give me your autograph. Thank you! I haven’t read “Threads”, but I’m going to ask Mummy to buy it for me next time we are in town! She was lucky enough to read it before it was published, as she was Emily’s Form Tutor at the time! I’m glad that so many people like your books.
From a girl who loves reading,
Callie
x
Hi Callie. It was lovely to meet you yesterday. And your mother was very encouraging about Threads at a time when I really needed it, so please thank her for me. I hope you enjoy it when you get it. sophia xxx
Hi Sophia!
I saw you at my school today and the talk you gave was really good! I love writing and “The Girl In The Picture” workshop was really great too! I think the new “The Look” cover looks amazing and I will definitley be buying it!
Emily (13) xxx
Hi Emily. You say all the right things! I’m glad you enjoyed it so much. I did too. It was fabulous to see you all (again). xxx
I Really love your books! When riding in your first book, in just wanted to Be a designer. This is a long time ago, but my dream is still there. That is Because of your books. When I think it is time to give up, I read one of yor books, and in Want to comlete my dream more than the first time. I am from Norway, and you said That threads Will Be a TV series in United Kingdom. Soo .. I was just wondering if it is Possible for Me to see it? Maybe It Will Came to Norway one day ..
Again, I Really love your books, and I Always Will!
Thank you <3 Hedda form Norway
Hi Hedda. I’m so glad you love the books! Designing is a fabulous career, but I’m sure you have plenty of time to decide what you want to do. There are lots of other cool jobs out there too … as Nonie discovers. The TV series still has to be developed, so there is a long way to go. I’m not sure where it will be shown and when, but I hope very much that it comes to Norway one day. sophia xxx

Sophia
Hi Sophia
Thank you so much. I wish my German was as good as your English! And yes, I hope that we’ll be able to see the girls on screen soon too. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? xxx
Hi Sophia
I’m a big fan- love Crow (duh), love Nonie (duh) and just love the books generally (duh!)! I also read your blog- and Nonie’s, of course. In fact, I’ve been inspired to start my own… but the only views I get are my own 🙁 so i was wondering, any tips for an aspiring blogger??! at the moment, I’ve only got a welcome message thingy (i started it on sunday), and it sounds stupid, but I’m not totally sure what to blog about…
the website address is http://dreamyheadintheclouds.blogspot.com if you want to check it out but at the moment there is literally nothing to see!
if you could give any tips/advice, it’d be great. 🙂
My tips on running a blog are these (not all of which I do myself, of course, but I try): do it often, keep it short, include lots of photos, be true to yourself – this is the most important thing, try to write about the same sort of subject each time, so people know what to expect, be funny, include links to other blogs, tumblrs etc that interest you, so your readers can find out more. The best thing is to check out blogs you like, and see what makes them so good. I have links on both my blogs to others that I really enjoy. Perhaps you could start with fashion, or books. Good luck! xxx
Hi Myah
I’m not doing any public signings in London this term, I’m afraid. I hope to be doing some when The Look comes out in the spring, though. Watch this space! Meanwhile, I’ll be at the Cheltenham Literature Festival with Jo Nadin on Sunday 9 October. You can come and see us there, if you like: http://www.cheltenhamfestivals.com/find-events/literature/lb23-fashion-friendship. We will definitely be fab.
sophia xxx
It’s really amazing that you are a very busy author, and you still have that little extra time to reply to your fans. I admire your generosity. Are you doing any book signings in London in September? Hope you are, I wouls love to have to opportunity to meet you!

Hi, thanks for emailing me back! I love your books and I am thrilled you are continuing to still write after your Threads books! I can’t wait to get stuck into one of your new ones!
It’s a pleasure, Myah. xxx
Hi Sophia! i haven’t written you letters in the mail for a long time sorry! i was wondering in which city or state the Edinburgh Festival was going to be in. It’s probably far away from where i am because i live in the US. Thank you 🙂
Hi Taahirah. It’s the Edinburgh in Scotland … so a long way away from you, I’m afraid. But if you ever get the chance to go to a book festival, do. They are amazing! xxx
I love your bookssss!
Hey Sophia. Is it pronounced Sopheea or Sopheyea? Anyway. At school I have to do a presentation about an author. I choose YOU! Do you know any good websites that have good info about you apart from this one?
TY
Sophz
Hi Sophz. My name is a bit of a nightmare to pronounce. Actually, it’s ‘SEW-phee-a’. This website is a good place to start, but you can also find out more about me and the books on http://www.threadsthebook.com. I keep meaning to put up various interviews I’ve done. Thanks for reminding me. I’ll try and do it over the summer. But there’s one here, for example: http://bit.ly/kTchxE. Hope it helps! xxx
Hi Sophia, are you writing anothe book for threads, and when are u going to birimgham next. cant wait Noni xxx
Hi Noni. I’m not planning to write another Threads book at the moment. The Look has a new set of characters. Not sure when I’ll make it to Birmingham, but I hope it’s not too long, as I love the Bullring! xxx
I love the Threads series and I’m reading the 3rd adition right now, and I love it and I love Nonie’s Blog on here! I hope you carry on writing good books for a long long time!
