Hallo Sophia, sorry my english is not so good.
My Daughter has get your Book “Threads” in the german version “Wie Zuckerwatte mit Silberfäden”. I read to her this story in bedtime, till she asleeps. And than I read your book from start to finish. I can’t stop! It’s greatfull and I hope, you can make a feature film about it. Very good is the story about the forgotton childs interwoven between the general typical dreams of all teenies. Now I read your book every day again till my girl is asleep and than till the story is finished.

      Hello Elke
Thank you so much for writing to me. I’m thrilled to hear how much you and your daughter have been enjoying Wie Zuckerwatte mit Silberfaden. I picture her falling asleep while you read, just as I used to do when my mother read to me. Funnily enough, my aunt from Germany used to send us special candles which we would light while we read and I would watch their flickering candlelight while I listened to the stories. So I always associate bedtime reading with presents from Germany! I hope you enjoy the rest of the book. sophia xxx

Hi Beverley. Loving the blog, by the way! I get my inspiration mainly from things I was really interested in when I was growing up, but also by the little things that go on around me all the time. If you look at the interviews I’ve done (via this page on my site: http://sophiabennett.com/about-me/), you’ll find out lots more. At the moment, I’m inspired by a coat I saw in a shop called Fenwick before Christmas, the coastline of the South of France, the women who worked at Bletchley Park during the war, my great aunt and the idea of code-breaking. Enough to keep me going for the new book, I hope! xxx

Just look me up on their website! As for the TV series, if it goes ahead (it’s still in the early planning stages) it will appear in the US before it comes to the UK, so you’re lucky there. There are lots of other cool jobs out there too … as Nonie discovers. The TV series still has to be developed, so there is a long way to go. My tips on running a blog are these (not all of which I do myself, of course, but I try): do it often, keep it short, include lots of photos, be true to yourself – this is the most important thing, try to write about the same sort of subject each time, so people know what to expect, be funny, include links to other blogs, tumblrs etc that interest you, so your readers can find out more. The best thing is to check out blogs you like, and see what makes them so good. I have links on both my blogs to others that I really enjoy. Perhaps you could start with fashion, or books. Good luck! xxx

Hi Taahirah. It’s the Edinburgh in Scotland … so a long way away from you, I’m afraid. But if you ever get the chance to go to a book festival, do. They are amazing! xxx

Hey Sophia. Is it pronounced Sopheea or Sopheyea? Anyway. At school I have to do a presentation about an author. I choose YOU! Do you know any good websites that have good info about you apart from this one?

Hi Sophz. My name is a bit of a nightmare to pronounce. Actually, it’s ‘SEW-phee-a’. This website is a good place to start, but you can also find out more about me and the books on http://www.threadsthebook.com. I keep meaning to put up various interviews I’ve done. Thanks for reminding me. I’ll try and do it over the summer. But there’s one here, for example: http://bit.ly/kTchxE. Hope it helps! xxx

Hi Noni. I’m not planning to write another Threads book at the moment. The Look has a new set of characters. Not sure when I’ll make it to Birmingham, but I hope it’s not too long, as I love the Bullring! xxx
